MONTH OF PHOTOGRAPHY 2016

The next edition of Photonic Moments – Month of Photography festival will take place in June 2016 in Ljubljana and surroundings.

The festival will (again) offer number of exhibitions and other events dedicated to the recent and current developments of contemporary photography.

Some of the most significant exhibitions within the programme of Photonic Moments 2016 are:
– a group show, entitled Memory Lab: Photography Challenges History, a common project of EMoP (European Month of Photography) network, focused on questioning memory and reflecting history through art;
– an exhibition of Sebastiao Salgado, in collaboration with MGML;
– an exhibition of Jean Cocteau and Veno Pilon at Photonu – Centre for Contemporary Photography;
– The PhotoMagic exhibition (Stane Jagodič, Gabor Kerekes, Branko Lenart) at Slovene Ethnographic Museum;

– International video selection Video in Progress 6 at Alkatraz Gallery;

– student exhibitions of Academy of Fine Art and Design (ALUO) and Higher School of Applied Sciences (VIST);
– a series of solo shows of renown of emerging photographers such as Marina Paulenka, Matic Zorman, Anna Tihanyi, Olja Triaška Stefanović, Almin Zrno, Jože Suhadolnik, Tomaž Črnej, Mirjana Rukavina, Arven Šakti Kralj Szomi, Noemi Veberič Levovnik, Emina Djukić, Virginia Vrecl and more…
